Schlitterbahn and VBS

We are so lucky to have family relatively close by.  This past week we traveled down to San Antonio to see them.  We were having a hard time figuring out what we wanted to do over the weekend of Father's Day and finally decided to get season passes to Schlitterbahn, a wonderful water park in Texas.  The kids love this place and there is no height requirements on most of the rides so as soon as our kiddos are brave enough to ride them they can go ahead.  Last year Elizabeth mostly stayed in the kiddy area with the grandparents, but this year she was big enough to go on some of the major rides and she was so brave!!!

We had a great Father's Day and Jeff got to celebrate in the way he wanted, to play a big board game!  It took most of the day, but he got to play History of the World and, of course, won.  After that he needed to head back home to get to work on Monday morning.  The kids and I stayed in San Antonio so Jason could attend Vacation Bible School (VBS) at Grandma and Grandpa's huge church.  Elizabeth is looking forward to attending next summer.  Jason had an amazing time and came home every day singing the songs.

Grandma, Elizabeth and I went out most mornings and I was really enjoying the amenities of the "big city"  When I got home Jeff had a word with me about over use of the credit card...opps! I even got a night out with Aunt Michelle with dinner and a movie.  It was a pretty great week, but we were so happy to see Daddy when we got home.
