A couple of weeks ago the family headed up to visit my family in Virginia.

Jason made his own magic wand

Elizabeth collecting many many wands

They loved trip tromping over Grandma's bridge.

We got to meet our precious niece Abigail and Grandma loved giving her cuddles

Elizabeth showing off her dance moves in front of the space shuttle

We found a plane just the right size for Jason

Later in the week we toured Uncle Kevin and Aunt Rachel's house. Jeff and Elizabeth admired baby Abigail playing around

Uncle Kevin looks like he has his hands full with these three cuties

Grandpa and Uncle Brian

Aunt Rachel with her sweet girl

Jason showing Grandma how to play his LeapPad

Jeff didn't mind the baby cuddles!

Elizabeth loved giving Abigail hugs and kisses on her hand

Proud Grandma with her (wiggly) grandchildren

Uncle Kevin and Aunt Rachel were amused by Jason who never stops moving

We went to an outdoor story time which would have been better if there hadn't been construction going on.

Later in the week we Frisbee Golfed at Jeff's old stomping grounds. Elizabeth was a big fan of the stumps.

Big fan!

We walked down the Mall and needed a photo in front of the (Smithsonian) Castle.

Jason was pretty excited to see the capital building. He always points the Texas capital when we drive through Austin and was pretty impressed that the one in DC looks so similar.

They might live in the area, but I don't think my parents have many photos with the monuments

Jason was pretty excited to see all the trains

Jason even got to use a Cotton Gin to de-seed his cotton.
We had a wonderful time with family and were so happy to meet baby Abigail! There were some less then amazing parts of the week (see my last post) but we made the best of our trip. We even got to meet up with friends with kids Elizabeth's age that I knew from an online group. I'm so glad we got a chance to visit!
It was a visit filled with wonderful memories for all of us! We were particularly touched that Jason and Elizabeth were sad when they had to leave.
